Wet Electrostatic Precipitator for a Better Society (WESP)
Air quality plays a crucial role in human health and the quality of life. Polluted air has long-term adverse effects on the body, impacting the respiratory system, lungs, heart, and skin. Conversely, good air quality helps maintain a balanced environment conducive to a high-quality life.
Panel Plus is aware of managing air quality. We recognize that our production processes may emit air pollutants that could potentially impact employees and the surrounding community. Consequently, they have developed an air quality control strategy for all operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. This approach aims to facilitate business growth while also providing well-being for the local community and society.
- Investment in a Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) air purification system at Panel Plus Hat Yai, Songkhla, which is capable of capturing dust and reducing emissions. This system also contributes to environmental conservation by recycling materials back into the production process.
- Conducting air quality monitoring in the vicinity of the factory in accordance with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) guidelines. This monitoring includes the measurement of fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) and total suspended particulates (TSP) with a size larger than 100 micrometers.
- Conducting impact assessments of particulate matter in the local community to collect data for analysis and implement prevention measures.
- Installing monitoring equipment, such as white and black cloth sets, within the factory and the surrounding community to assess the quantity of dust and collect data for analysis.
These actions demonstrate Panel Plus's commitment to environmental responsibility and the well-being of our community.
